Looking for experienced person/captain to relocate a350/390 Twin Yanmars to
Mobile Alabama then to Chattanooga. Tn. First leg on own bottom. Second leg via truck. Bottom line the most cost effective way,,,!,,,Also a recommended trucking company. Wife and I would be on board.

What is the departure port? When?

Why not do it all on its own bottom? Going to a lake? If you have to put it on the truck, why not do the whole trip on the truck. That boat might need some serious disassembly to load, and the cost is mostly that.

Combination motoring on its own bottom and then trucking is definitely not the cheapest way to go. We're planning that combo ourselves for a boat we bought in Massachusetts, but we're doing the on-water part ourselves only because it will be great fun and it'll be our long vacation for 2015. Otherwise the other posters are right - much cheaper overall to do all one or the other. We just did the math pretty catefully, wasn't even close.

Why would you use a truck from Mobile to Chattanooga? Beautiful and rather easy boating.
