Just registered today! My wife and I have been boating for 20yrs, myself for over 30. Currently we have a 24' Chap. cruiser, we have always had plans on moving up to a larger boat in the 34' to 36' class especially with our growing family currently with 4 grandkids. Years ago we thought we would be staying in a plainning type boat but that would mean 2 big block drives and a whole lot of fuel and not going far. With the way fuel prices have been we have had to rethink this. We are not the kind of folks that are "dockers" we like to be out on the water. We boat out of Sodus Bay in Lake Ontario and like to travel to the different bays on the lake. We know the pace of travel will change, and at this point in our lives we are good with that. We hope the first year we retire, which is many years from now we would like to do the Great Loop, so we are starting the process of looking for a trawler and hopefully within 2 years have one. then do some 'Mini loops" in Ontario to hone our skills and get ready for " the big one".
