Hello from Ohio

Hi everyone.

I joined a few weeks ago and I thought it was time to introduce myself.

Right now I live in Ohio. Where I'll be in the future is kind of an open question and one I don't worry about too much.


Anyhow, I was thinking that it would be real nice some day to live on a boat so that I could a freedom of movement that you just can't get out of a house without a lot of cracked plaster and broken dishes.


Now, I don't know when this will be happening... At the moment it's just "one of these days", so in the meantime I figured it might not be a bad idea if I start learning NOW so I won't be in a rush later.

That's about it. So, uh.... I'm going to head over to the general forum, ask my first question and take it from there.

Welcome aboard, Eric. How "central" in Ohio are you? We live in Ashville, and keep the Lady J at Sandusky. Living aboard and cruising is awesome!

I'm a bit east of Columbus.

A more simple question than what kind of boat to live aboard is why do you personally want live aboard. Freedom of movement as you state seems pretty iffy, a good camper/RV/trailer allows that to happen.
