Anyone have an idea of the best fuel prices in Rhode Island?

I'm in Providence until the third week in October and then heading southwest.

I know that Portsmouth NH has the best prices in New England, but I'm not going north again.

I did see a gas station advertising home heating fuel #2 for $3.34, so maybe it will come down to me calling around and finding a fuel truck willing to meet me someplace that works for both of us. I do want between 500 and 600 gallons.

Try calling local fuel companies that sell diesel direct to boat owners. Ask if they can deliver the fuel to you at your marina or a public dock. I've taken on diesel this way in Three Mile Harbor, East Hampton, New York. The price per gallon was less then any nearby marina.

Best price we have found consistently in that general area is in New Bedford.
Pier Oil will deliver by barge in the harbor or you can dock alongside. Call them on 508-992-1916 to get current price for comparison. Might be worth a slight detour down the Sakonnet. We usually figure on saving a decent amount on a fill-up, but we do take on several hundred gallons.
