Yesterday was not the second happiest day in this boaters life. The boat broker closed the sale of Budds' Outlet. We had nine season's of great cruises and it's kind of sad to see her go. However, this was a necessary step in the process of moving up to a larger boat. One that we will be comfortable crusing on for several months at a time.

The question now is, what should I use for an avitar? I'm open for recomendations.

What are you going to get?

Congratulations on the sale! Hard to do in these times.

For your avatar, how about an image of what your dreamboat could look like? Either realistically or lotto winning.

Or a 12 foot blue skinned guy with a tail.

Congrats Budd. It's been awhile since I saw you in Fishermen's bay (Nehalennia on CSR). Anyway all the best in your search.

I think you are in a great position I'd much rather be a buyer then a seller

Todd, Its great to hear from you again. I've curious how your orgainzed group cruise went up to your uncle's place.

Yes, I am happy to have a sale and be a buyer now. I value the role of the yacht broker. They have done a great job and are well worth their money to a seller.

I totally understand your feeling. We sent our Parker to Alabama recently. She was a great boat and did the job we needed for eight years. Lots of good memories were loaded on a trailer and taken down the road by her excited, new owners. In our case, we had already purchased the replacement boat, but it remained a mixed emotion day for me.

Good luck with finding and purchasing your next boat.

Chris

I think if people don't have a boat here they should put a picture of themselves in the avatar. Actually I wish we could have 2 avatars. One for the boat and one for the mug. Walt and I messed w that concept once. I think Walt actually managed to get two pics in his avatar.

Thanks CW, it has been kind of mixed feeling time for us.

I selected a new avitar, I feel it fairly represents our current lack of seaworthyness.

May I suggest using a photo of the person(s) in one's profile picture and a boat photo for avatar?

Please don't ask Mark to post any more pictures of COOT or cruise ships . Eric, you should know better ;)

It was great.
You can have a look here.

Have a great search for your next boat. I hope to meet up again.

Dan, congratulations on the successful sale. Now the fun starts!

In the meanwhile, if you get REALLY tired of being a landlubber, head east on I-90, turn south on I-82 and let me know when you're passing through Yakima. I'll have the boat all ready to go when you get here. And I'll probably have some sunshine to go with it.

Daddyo-talk about Boat Porn! That belongs on the "For Women Only" thread as "What you can't do without on your boat!"

BTW-he was at our local Whole Foods a month or so ago pushing some health drink-that look is not aging too well!

Thanks GFC, now you've gone over the top offering things like boat rides in sunshine! Sorry we didn't get to do lunch at the boat show.
