Aloha all. I am looking for window screens, if anyone has a lead. I know it is cold on the mainland but here our windows are still open. Got some from Beckson that fit but I need 12" X 5" and 18" X 8" screens. They are PYHI ports with frames. Before I get crazy and replace all the windows, thought I would check the forum depths. Mahalo for any help. Kevin

Thin copper tubing can easily be bent to your exact port size.

If required to fit flatten it with a hammer and a piece of wood.

Soft solder brass screen to the loop you created , enjoy .

FF, you make it sound so simple!!!!

Greetings,
Mr. Baker. I did similar to what FF suggested using 1/8" X 1/2" brass bar stock about 12 years ago and they're still going strong. NOT salt water. The advantage that I had was there was a recess in the frame of the port that the brass ring fit into perfectly. On a port with a smooth (no recess/groove) surface some sort of fastening mechanism would be necessary.

Great ideas, think I will try that. Mahalo

Not many bugs here either, just a few mosquitos when the kona winds kick in. I am redoing a Hershine trawler and it is just there are supposed to be screens there; you know? Back to original shape.
