Oh, lovely.

I feel like my most of my boating activities involve running from hurricanes. Getting out of Pensacola sometime in June because the marinas there require evacuation when a named storm is in the vicinity. We are headed for Lake Ponchatrain.

Way better than P'cola and better than most places along the Gulf coast between P'cola and Nawlins unless you take into account a few of the private canal systems like Ono Island where my brother has his GB42 tucked away down behind a lot of tall hurricane-roof houses.
