On a Nordic Tug 37, the fresh water pressure pump occasionally stops working. The breaker is on but no pump and no pressure. However, when I turn off the breaker, wait a few seconds, and turn it back on, the pump works perfectly. Any suggestions on problem and/or fixes? This one has me mystified.

Maybe a sticking pressure switch? Guessing that power-cycling the pump provides a short-shot of pressure that effectively resets the switch - this may solve itself with repeated resets. Not sure pressure switches are serviceable on the modern ubiquitous water pump such as the Surflow. Maybe try hitting the housing with back of a screwdriver instead of power-cycling.

Wish I had better input.

Circuit breaker might be starting to fail. I had one do exactly as you describe. Breakers don’t really like to be energized with a load present, and the water pump is generally running with the flip of the breaker. Put your volt meter on the breaker output to check.
