Trailerable Trawler

Still hoping to find a trailerable trawler. Preferred locations would be southern Ontario or Vancouver areas. Something like an Albin 25. Searching from Regina, SK.

I am a member of a facebook group named Trailer Trawlers.

You can also try the Rosborough group. These are cool little 26-footers that are frequently sold with a trailer.

C-Dorys and Atlas Acadias are two 25' trailerable "trawlers". My avatar at the left shows an Atlas Pompano 23, but that isn't really a livable "trawler".

My current facebook presence is limited to five, boat brand specific, groups. I chose these five groups as I will likely buy one of these boats.

When you come closer to deciding what boat you want, there is probably an online webpage and/or facebook page for that boat. An additional site to find boats for sale and/or make your own post looking for a boat.

One of the boats that I too am interested in is the Albin 25. Seems to be a sweet spot for these boats in Vancouver.

albinowners.com is a good website for all albin boats.
The Albin Cruisers 25 & 27 facebook group is very specific to only Albin 25/27's.

I've always listed over the Acadia 25. What a great day/weekend boat for a place like Florida (where they are made). Lobster boat style is so very approachable.

Thanks, again, Jim. I’ve wanted something like this for years but didn’t know it until I retired. Then Covid struck, access became difficult, and ‘staycations’ became the norm. With winter, I took a low-paying job to get off the couch and banish the boredom, and now work two nights a week until after midnight. Which shoots my days to hell.
Sure would be nice to have a boat for the summer!

There is a 25' listed in Tallahassee, FL on craigslist.

Misspelled as "Alvin 25" if you search for it.

No trailer with this one. But thanks.

A trailer is immaterial. It's the boat that is important. Shop for the boat. If it comes with a trailer, fine. But don't lose perspective here. A trailer can always be acquired post purchase.

They make several trawler-type models of 24 and 25 feet, all trailerable. A friend just bought a 24 of theirs and is really pleased with it.

Sound advice. I purchased a Cargile Cutter in 2015, in the water at a marina near Nashville. No trailer. Drove up from Florida and bought it. Paid slip rental for 2 months. Found a trailer in St. Pete. Month and a half after purchase went up and brought the boat home. Keep your eyes on the prize!

"Yes" as far as boating goes. I do the same as JLD does. Amazing amount of info and help on boat/engine maintenance. The boating forums are mostly removed from the s..t show that most of facebook is. Suggest you use the TOR browser when accessing facebook.
