Greetings,

Just returned to Alaska from Bellingham on the Ferry 'Columbia', great voyage all the way through- flat calm.
During the trip I read a wonderful nautical book involving the Puget Sound/Georgia Straits

'Whiskey Gulf' by Clyde Ford.

This is a do not miss for Puget Sound/Canadian trawler mystery/international intrigue readers. The boat involved is a 36' Willard pilot house.

I believe Clyde Ford owns a Willard and uses it to write on. Or at least used to.

Bellingham-based Clyde Ford lived on a 30' Willard in Squalicum Marina for a number of years. Several years ago he put the boat up for sale but none of the locals here know if it's sold or not. He wrote a couple of mystery novels-- Red Herring and Whiskey Gulf ( the latter I assume a play on the name Whiskey Golf, the big torpedo test range in the Strait of Georgia) but after publishing them he seems to have dropped out of sight.
