'82 Mainship 34 cabin refurbishment ideas

I'm starting to plan out refurbishing the parlor and rest of the interior of our Mainship 34. I found a few threads with great ideas but hoping others will share a pic or two of updated cabins. Our first pass will be some quick updating. A lot of the cabinet boxes will be painted white to add some brightness. The countertops will also be painted to bring them at least into the 90s. The setee will get a new base that's taller and includes drawers. I am especially looking for inspiration regarding the service bar in the parlor. The engine covers will be rebuilt and looking to add a dining table of sorts. Thanks in advance

Have you seen what Baloo on this forum has done to their 34 model II? They went all out and even added a washing machine to under the lower helm. Impressive since your model has the least amount of room in the salon...parlor as you call it...out of all 3 classic 34' models.
I have to say ,I've not heard it referred to as a parlor. RTF keeps insisting that I'm wrong in calling it a salon and that it's a saloon but I'm not giving in!

Yes, I have found the thread with Baloo's work and love it. Amazing stuff but we're not quite at that level of investment. We just bought her a month ago and have some other systems to address.

I have seen the large room referenced as a parlor or salon. I'm good with saloon also. My initial thought for the service bar is to build a wet bar/wine rack but trying to visualize how that can work on the open seas.

We have a MK 1 so space wise we are a little different, but this is what we’ve got. The cabinet forward of our sofa houses has a hinged lid with the electrical panel inside, and then beneath that level is the a/c system.

Yikes! That is a seriously tasteful model 1 interior modification! I refuse to let my wife see these pictures! She'll have us starting all over on ours again & I thought I was nearing the end of the major upgrade phase! I had her believing me painting the salon bulkhead frames with a can of white Krylon spray paint was a deluxe modification!
