So enjoying being a full time cruiser.. caught this sunset reflection a week or so ago. Favorite picture so far.. What's yours?

Another great shot blocked by a few blowboats!!

This was one of my favorite and became a screen saver to make sure I remember why I'm at work. Many of you will recognize this is looking over at Orcas island from near the ferry landing on Shaw.

The second one is the night in the same anchorage.
( I just couldn't chose one)

Here is one shot from last week at the moorage for 44' Tollycraft.

Early morning at Friday Harbor in the San Juan Islands.

So excited that we will be doing a trip or several to the San Juans.. these pictures of them makes me want to do it now!! Thanks

I like how they are positioned in the piece.. gives a feeling of rest after the crossing..

I have hundreds of photos of sunrises and sunsets but here's one that will always be at the top of the heap.



and here's a blowup of the center part of that photo.

GFC, Did you use a filter for that ?

It'd be wildlife shots we have got on the water for me
Have some great video of dolphins and whales but these few from last year I was pleased with.

Thanks for sharing.. I was hoping we'd get to see some wildlife. Crossing my fingers we get to see some in person. When we lived in Hawaii and had a boat, the dolphins used to swim with the boat.. so incredible.

Nope, that's just how they came out of the camera. I kept enlarging the center portion and it just kept getting better. Bright yellows, oranges, even some blue areas in there that don't show up in the larger pics because they were so small.

More of some of my favorite places on the water.

From Lake Merwin, Victoria BC, Columbia river at Steamboat Landing, Columbia River in front of my condo and at Coast Guard Station Portland, OR.

Not yet a liveaboard up there in Puget but how about a pic from an aspirational one? Lopez Sound facing Blakely Island viewed when enjoying a cocktail in the cockpit while the kids and wife were on shore.

Funny story, literally seconds after I snapped this photo I overheard a pan pan from the CG about a kayaker in the water in distress. I usually filter these out when at anchor but wouldn’t you know it, they gave the location as Swifts Bay. The moment of realization that I was *anchored in* Swifts Bay was not exactly instantaneous but eventually I mustered myself and glassed the area and found him. Since I was only halfway into my first drink I jumped into the tender and went over and hauled him out and took his kayak under tow and delivered him over to the paramedics waiting on shore. Who knew that Lopez Island even had paramedics on duty?!? Anyhow one of the easier rescues I’ve done. Was back before the ice melted in my glass. I’m not sure my wife believes that it actually happened.

Amongst some scenics... Two of our favorite boat photos simply must include grand kids... hope you don't mind. The now 6'4" boy will be 21 this Christmas day! Where do the years go???!!!!
