Give Mastry Engine Center in Clearwater a call, they supplied many of the Yanmar engines to Mainship. They have been extremely helpful to me over the years. 727-522-9471

It may be a JIS thread Japanese system), similar if not identical to the British pipe thread system. I discovered this when plumbing the coolant to the water heater. A 3/8 NPT (US system) nipple fit, but just barely. It grabbed about 3 threads which was marginal.

BSP tapered thread. I bought adapters from a Parker hydraulic shop. They knew what I was looking for.

You could chase it with a 1/8 x 27 NPT tapered tap, but not recommended.
