Stopping in Port Clinton tonight and in need of starter for my Cat 3208. I can install myself. Anyone know where I can get one in the area? We are on our way home CT to WI. Not familiar with the area.

I would recommend brands marina just past draw bridge on portage river. Bridge lifts on the hour and the half hour. Quality and knowledgeable place

Look for a rebuild shop in the area. A quick internet search will find one. They can usually be rebuilt in a few hours in my experience.

Ended up changing the solenoid. Would rather have a new starter since it looked original / old. In the mean time I dropped part of the French press into the water. There are snakes in these waters so I’m not diving in. I am in the dog house with the crew! Hard to shop w/o car and Uber poor. One crisis after another.

NAPA and local auto/truck parts houses usually deliver to the local mechanics at no cost.

This saves the shop the time to go get a part ,local delivery is a part of a very competitive business.
