I ran a 34 Mainship Pilot with a 370 Yanmar for 10 + hours mostly at 2900 RPMs. About 11 Gallons/hr.
Speed ranged from 15.5 knots with a 2-3' swells at 10 seconds to 16.5 calm no current and wind.

Here is a chart I prepared for that vessel by noting rpms for various speeds and then picking up fuel consumption from the Yanmar prop curve. Your data confirms what I found, that the Yanmar prop fuel consumption curve is a little conservative.

David,
I actually ran 10.5 hours, left Delaware City Marina to Delaware River ( 10 minutes) cruised to Cape May thru Cape May ( 30 min) up NJ coast to Barnegat inlet (30min) the cruised up the bay. Docking, undocking, Docking, undocking, going to fuel dock 20 min.
9 hours at 2900 ( 9 x 12=108 gals) and 1.5 at 1500 ( 1.5 x 3=4.5 gals) would balance my 112 gals at the fuel dock.
145 nm/112=1.29 nm/gal total trip

I would like to revise my original statement.
Thanks for the input

Greg
