The 6LP has the stop solenoid in the injection...

The 6LP has the stop solenoid in the injection pump and it needs 12vdc to run. you can put a meter on the plug and see what is happening.

I had that issue, power did drop off on shut off of key...

Sometimes an aged dingy is not worth the hassle either, get the best dingy you can that fits the level of service you need. (Roll up, air deck, rib, steering etc). They all serve a purpose.
