If the plumbing layout is good and the discharge is big enough, it'll work fine. But if it's not done well it can either restrict output or cause back flow through another item connected to that...

I agree with round fenders for locks. And if you're not going to need them for a while, you can deflate them and squish them down for storage.

We carry 10x26 cylinders as our primary fenders...

If the cans are well sealed and not openly vented, I'd assume it's probably down a little octane by now, but it should otherwise be fine. I've burned year old stabilized gas many times, with and...

Any good setup would keep the AC side off the inverter so it runs on DC when away from shore power. Plus, there's power conversion going on regardless. The Danfoss compressors are not 12v DC. The...

Definitely expensive, but I'd expect if the design becomes more common, more shops will get the equipment to work on them. In the meantime, if using a prop like that I'd carry a more conventional...

If the boat is officially listed as a 37, you can go with either the 360° white or a 225*°masthead + stern light. My 38 had the masthead + stern light from the factory (and we're about 42'4" true...

No experience with that one, but I've done a couple of seasons with the Hella NaviLED Pro side and stern lights without issues. My masthead light is a Signal Mate 3nmmhanc. It works as both a 225°...

Sometimes it depends on how the marinas buy their fuel. If the prices don't change frequently, they may be buying on bulk contracts (vs spot price). So depending on when they use up their current...

With an appropriate intake pump a marine elegance can be configured for raw water flush. Power use for an electric head is minimal so I wouldn't worry about that part.

It's not that uncommon for the AC side of the Danfoss / Secop compressor control modules to fail. Try leaving the AC breaker off and letting it run on DC only and see if it does it again.

Axopar slopes the cabins like that (although not quite as much) on some of their boats as well.

I'm sure the average customer is just looking at the boats and will never notice what's on the bow. Only the crazies like us around here would notice!

Agreed. Although for a spring off the bow it'll need testing to confirm you can actually hold the boat that way without just yanking the bow in (and leaving the stern way off the dock). Might need...

Based on that picture, what about getting a stern line on first (if that cleat is more reachable) right as you kick the stern into the dock, then power against it to hold the boat in place while you...

In my mind, it depends as much on the boat as anything else. Some boats are easier to install paravanes on than others. And whether they're suitable for more than passagemaking depends both on how...

That's part of why I typically leave the A/C running when we're not on the boat. I don't care if it's 80* inside, but I do care if it's 100+ and humid (both as far as the fridge staying cold and not...
