I would put on what the CAT dealer specified and keep an eye on it. People have been known to try and “fix” a coolant leak by lowering the PSI in the coolant system.

Not sure of your exact setup. Don't rule out using a shop vac to remove water. Put the suction end over a water line and cup it with your hand to make a seal.
