• Trawler Forum Classified Posting Guidelines
    • We expect ads placed to be related to the topic of this forum.
    • Ads that are inactive for 180 days or longer may be moved to the Classified Archive and locked. Ads may be relisted if the item is still current. Alternatively, owners may contact a Moderator to reinstate an archived ad.
    • The Classified section is for advertising, members are asked to refrain from posting discussions to a Classified Ad. Please start a discussion thread or PM the owner for discussions.
    • Do not hijack another member's ad by posting unsolicited commentary. Example: if a member has posted an ad offering an anchor for sale, don't add a post to his thread stating that you have an anchor you'd like to get rid of also. Posts deemed as unsolicited commentary may be removed.
    • For your own security, do NOT include your e-mail or phone number in your ad. Instead request that interested parties contact you via PM (private message) to provide owners contact info.
    • Brokers, Dealers, or those with a commercial interest in a sale are prohibited from posting in Classifieds.
    • Only Trawler Forum Commercial Members may post ads in the Commercial section. You must be a designated Commercial Member to start threads in this section of the forum. (Contact a moderator if you have questions about this)
    • Don't post links to commercial sites where you are also offering the boat, such as eBay, Craigslist or Yachtworld, etc. unless it contains a more in-depth description, additional information or pictures.
    • Place only one ad per item (you may repost only when your ad has expired and been removed).
    For Sale ads MUST include:
    • Asking price
    • Location
    • A Basic Description
    • Clear statement whether you are the owner or non-owner (posting for friend, relative, or acquaintance)
    • Don't forget to select: FOR SALE, WANTED or FREE in the Title block.
All ads should also include ALL the following:
    • Pertinent maintenance and condition information
    • Exterior picture or pictures
    • Interior picture or pictures (boats)
For maximum impact & exposure, it is suggested the Ad Title include: Year, Manufacturer, Model, Length, Price, and Location or at the very top of the ad body. When your item has sold or the ad is no longer relevant: Please post a Reply to the ad that the item is SOLD or click "Report Post" on post 1 of the thread to ask a moderator to archive the ad. Ads may be moved or removed by our staff at any time for any reason. All ads must comply with site rules. Thanks for your cooperation.
  • Avoid Scams.

Our classifieds are free and anyone registered here is welcome to post an ad.
Be aware that there are unscrupulous folks out there. Avoid any interaction that seems odd to you or feels wrong. Inquiries from unknown buyers, buyers agents and other non-traditional approaches should be treated with extreme caution.

Beware of unsolicited contacts offering to put you in touch with someone else who is buying or selling via e-mail or text.

Do not post your e-mail address or phone number in a classifieds ad.

Hints that you may be dealing with a Scammer:
    • Seller or Buyer approaches you via a direct email or PM and then steers you to an off-site communication method (text or email).
    • No posts or very few forum posts.
    • Recent forum membership
    • Insists on conducting negotiations via email or text rather than PM
    • Requires payment via Bank Transfer, BitCoin/CryptoCurrency, WesternUnion or other unsecured method.
    • Buyer or Seller suggests Paypal "Friends and Family" payment. Paypal is a good way to arrange payment but an invoice for goods and services should be used rather than "Friends and Family". "Friends and Family" avoids fees BUT there is no recourse if the transaction runs aground. Friends and Family is for gifts only. There is no protection for Friends and Family transactions, so never ever use it to buy something.

Zodiac Yachtline 340 Dinghy
Now that we have sold our Mainship 390 the time has come to sell our Zodiac.
The Zodiac is an 1998 11 foot Hypalon RIB that was retubed at Legendary Marine in Destin in 2016 with a 6 month wait for shipment from France. It has been under covered storage with a boat cover since the tubes were replaced and indoor storage the last 4 years.
It has a bench seat, console with steering wheel and cushions. The vessel is equipped with a Lowrance 2 inch in dash Depth Finder, Garmin 421 GPS with map chart, and a Bluetooth Stereo with 2 speakers
It is powered with a 25 Horsepower Johnson with trim and tilt.
There is an 8 gallon built in gas tank with a dash gauge. Full navigation lights are built in. It is on a Galvanized single axle trailer with plastic bunk slides and lights on the Boat Guides.
Both boat and trailer are registered and stored in South Louisiana.
While cruising we enjoyed exploring anchorages and were able to do so in comfort. No more numbness from sitting on a tube, using tiller steering.
We towed it everywhere we went without any issues.
On Sale for $6,500

Zodiac weight

I have been asked the weight of the Dinghy. Factory specs are 441 lbs with a 15 hp engine. I would guess around 500 with a 25

Zodiac 340 Dinghy REDUCED

I have reduced the price to $5,000. Ride around in comfort.

Hi. I have 1996 Hurricane Zodiac 420 DL 14' . The tubes are in very good shape but the rail has detached. Trying to decide if they can be re glued or do I need to order new tube. Interested in your experience with the 6 month wait. Thanks for any info. GOod luck selling yours. Great fun boat.

I had the tubes replaced at Legendary Marine in Destin. They gave me a bid, ordered tubes, and 6 months later honored the bid. Well worth the cost.

Hi. Inflatable looks great. Still for sale? If yes I’m interested.

Thanks,
Dennis

I’m pretty sure that the weight of the YL340 is 440 pounds, dry.

Add in a motor, battery, fuel and you have a 750 pound skiff.

I have a YL340 and like it, but I would caution to check your lifting capabilities prior to buying one.

BTW I bought my Hapalon replacement tubes from Defender. Took all of an hour for two of us to get the old ones off and the new ones on.

The earlier Zodiac Yachtline RIBS were lighter before they redesigned the sterns of the boats.
Our Zodiac YL380 weighed less than #750 loaded and that was with a 40Hp ptt Yamaha outboard.
We boated with folks that had the 25 HP Yamaha on the earlier style YL 340's and it weighed much less than our 380.
Our YL 380 loaded on boat deck....

The YL series of Zodiacs were all changed significantly somewhere in the 2002-2005 range and they beacme much heavier. If they have the pointed rear tubes and wide lower glass hulls they are early models like yours - if they have the rounded end rubes and smaller glass lower hulls they are the later modles which weigh more. I checked with a friend that has a 1999 Zodiac YL340 and he has these numbers for his weights when lifting:
376# - complete boat dry with no engine
126# - his 1999 Yamaha 25 hp 4 stroke
45# - approx batt (G24)
45# - approx fuel (8g)
Approx 590 - 600# when lifting
Hope this helps

Hi Jim, did you already sell? Now I’m in Florida (I’m from Brazil), and I want to buy your dinghy

I had a Zodiac Pro RIB. Ordered new tubes for it and it took about 6 months to get them from France. Seemed to be a typical delivery time period according to the dealer I ordered them from. I paid for them when I ordered them, so there was no change in the price when they were delivered.
