Nauticat 40 Pilothouse motorsailor

We have our Nauticat 40 Pilothouse Ketch motor sailor for sale and are asking $124,880. She can be seen at a dock near Stuart, FL. I submit this as a possible alternative to some of the gorgeous trawlers listed elsewhere on this board :-)

While not exactly a "trawler", we have been using Aurora as one for a few years now. In some ways. motor sailing is about the best of both worlds. You get an increasingly steady passage and a reduction in fuel consumption by raising the easy-to-use mizzen, main, and/or staysail.

Also, as the first picture shows, we were comfortable in 20-25 kts crosswind and opposing current (Woods Hole) even without sails up because of the heavy displacement and 5'10" keel.

You can see all the details and many pix (and a video of sorts) by Googling "Nauticat Aurora".

The video is at: https://youtu.be/Y3Umgouz0XM

I will attempt to summarize the listing below.
------------------------------------------------------
Aurora is an excellent example of how a pilothouse cutter ketch can be designed for speed, comfort, and safety. Under sail, the cutter-ketch rig offers many configurations from staysail only, to jib and jigger, to a full press of sail including spinnaker. Under power, the efficient hull configuration allows a cruising speed of 7+ kts at a diesel consumption rate of 1.5 - 2.0 gph. At anchor, the Nauticat 40 provides many areas to hang out including a wide open space on the forward deck, a large poop deck aft, a nice safe cockpit tucked in behind the dodger, and best of all, a cozy pilothouse for those cold, rainy days; all with a giant picture window to the anchorage.

Nauticats are sound boats capable of making extended offshore passages. But the video link says private and heck couldn't you have given us a link to click on rather than suggesting we google your boat name.

Also, I wasn't sure if posting a link to the broker's site was OK to do, but here it is:
