Grand Banks 42 classic 1972

I am posting this as a favor to the man who bought my GB woodie from me in 2015. I bought the Calypso in 1986 in San Diego and transported it to Panama City in 1990. It traveled back through the ICW to Galveston Yacht Basin in 2015 where it is in a covered slip. We have remained in regular contact, and I am aware of some changes he has made including covering the teak decks, not because they leaked but because he worried they might, a new windlass, and granite countertops.

I spent a lot of time and money over 29 years pampering this boat, and want to see it go to a good home.

Twin engines are the redoubtable Ford Lehman 120s and generator is Onan 7.5 KW. Refrigerator is propane/electric for maximum independence from shore.

He is currently negotiable starting at $45,000, and I feel the boat offers a lot to anybody interested in this size vessel for the money.

Rich, have you told your wife it is for sale.

Yes, she knows, and a promptly pointed out the before and after effects of Hurricane Michael on our boat shed which no longer can house the old Calypso.

I have finally heard from the owner's widow who texted me that their daughter will now handle the boat. I am awaiting more contact information and will post it here.

I am sorry I do not know because I have been unable to contact the widow of the owner. All I do know is that it was at the Galveston Yacht Basin some months ago when my brother saw it there during his visit to the area. My only suggestion at this point would be to give the management there your phone/email and ask them to give it to whoever the current owner is.
