1975 Marine Trader 34 $42000

1975 Marine Trader 34 Double Cabin: This boat has been completely restored and is in exceptional condition. It has an excellent Ford Lehman 120hp Diesel engine and a velvet drive transmission. The drive train is protected with a drive saver coupling and a new cutlass bearing system. The engine burns just 2 gallons per hour and cruises at 8 knots. It has new electric power, lighting, potable water, hot water, waste water, and electronics systems. All windows have been replaced. The Fuel tanks have been redesigned and replaced with two 75 gal aluminum tanks, and a 23gal day running tank. It has a Gulf Coast fuel polishing system to <1 micron. It has an oil polishing system. A MarinAir air conditioning system was installed in 2015. Steering is very smooth with a hydraulic system from both lower and fly bridge stations. The engine and transmission controls are fly by wire. It has an autopilot system that hasn't been commissioned yet. Two new plastic potable water tanks and a stainless grey water tanks have been installed. The windlass has 200' brass chain and rope wire system. The interior cushions have all been reupholstered. New mattresses throughout. Garmin GPSMAP-740s depth sounder and GPS. Bow thruster is controlled from both steering stations.
The boat was surveyed in 2013 and was valued at:
VESSEL VALUE: $49,863.00
VESSEL REPLACEMENT VALUE: $289,989
Since this survey, many improvements have been made and she has been stored inside a heated shop ever since I took ownership in 2013.

My apologies. It is located on the Hudson River near Albany NY. Yes there is a bow thruster that can be operated from either inside helm or from the fly bridge.

marine trader 34

just today i walked away from the second trawler i had under contract after the survey. both had high moisture content in various locations as well as rot. one was an albin in grand rivers ky and the other an island gypsy.
what is the history on this boat ? any recent surveys? i am ready to buy and can be there in a matter of days. recently sold my sea ray and ready to start on my next boat. email me at tn6437@aol.com
thanks, terry

Hi, initial photos very interesting. Don't think you have a viable offer unless you are upfront with those additional photos promised.

I replaced the batteries in 2016. The engine has its own battery. There are 2 banks (A&B) of 2-6volt batteries each, connected in series, to give 12 volts. There is an inverter to power the whole boat. There is not a generator currently. There is a spot in the lazarette for a genset though. The AC can only be used when on shore power.

I don't understand your comment. I can only post 12 photos here. I can send a link to the other photos if you send an email address.
