WANTED cruiser +- 32ft with only 8'6 bridge clearance

Hello ,
I am from Belgium and going to retire in Cape Coral , and want to buy a cabin cruiser around 32 ft with only 8'6 bridge clearance ?? most boats are to high!! or is there the possebillety to fold or lower the tower to pas the bridge ??

Like early FG boats.

8'6" will basically limit you to an express cruiser with no radar arch. Pretty much anything else will be too tall.

I have seen two SeaPipers in St Pete. The second one I just saw a few days ago has a neat onward isenglas enclosure and it looked from a far like hard clear plexiglass windows on the front. Make the middle area very livable in weather and sun. These are neat boats.

You could get the arch hinged but that's a horrible limitation to live with all the time. Have you already purchased the property?

I'd have thought many of the Rosbouroughs or Nimbles etc would be low enough...

Most express cruisers: Sea Ray Sundancers and similar...

Most center consoles/cuddy cabins/walk-around cuddies, etc: ProLine, Grady-White, Boston Whaler, C-Dory...

Might have to lower antennas and lights, of course...

I wasn't sure but found some specifications and then some talk on other forums where they were fine with clearing 12' because the 28' Sundancer was only 9'6". Most of the Sundancers are from 9'6" to 12' in air draft.

The canal boats which are common in Europe such as the Linnsen yachts might work, however they’re difficult to find in the US. The Linnsen below is in Florida and has a 10 ft clearance, maybe dropping the canopy would get it down to 8.5 ft.

Maybe to small - Albin 28 TE

I have an Albin 28 which I like. It may be too small for your liking but it's airdraft is 8 feet 6 inches with the radar arch but my radar does push that up to almost 11 feet. Albins are solid boats and there are usually some on the market in Florida or at least in the southeast.
