Hello,
Paint could be easily removed , just a sandblasting.
Totally Unpainted was our first choice for our Long-cours.62, but at less the deck must be painted for 2 reasons : non slip paint and ...hot.
Under sun the alloy could became very very hot !
Structure - Trawler long-cours
If we would be sure, don't find customer for our actual boat we will remove all the paint ... because after that for find a buyer it will become "mission impossible"
because with "only" some( ok lot of !) "patch" of primer it is already not possible potentials customers always ask for a "Awlgrip" paint
Paint and filler on the hull, deck, roof ( 380m2) it could be around 1000 kg !!!(average of 2mm thickness of paint/filler).
We already save 680kg by removing the teak deck (and lost a potential customer because his wife wanted a teak deck ...
)
