Defever 53 POC

Hello,
Time to finally pull the trigger and move up from our Express Cruiser and on board full time. We are located in SWFL and would love to hear from anyone thinking of passing on their vessel to a caring home

There is one in Stuart...needs some TLC, though. https://www.yachtworld.com/boats/198...dard%20listing

The 53 POC is one of my favorite layouts. I have not actually been on one yet but I did look at a 47 POC. Liked it a lot but it does not have the standup engine room that the 53 has.

Thanks for the replies, I was very interested in the one that just sold in Jax, but missed it. Primarily we are looking for the 53 POC but a close second would be (mid 80's) 49 PH CTF built, Soft Chine. Then there are some distant thirds. We are interested in SOME work, just not an entire refit, while it is interesting it just might be too much for me as I am still working. The search continues

I only ask because I'm wondering what you're seeing. I'm in the market (not for this boat) and I'm trying to learn to better evaluate these pictures. I see the exterior vinyl is showing its age, but that seems normal for a boat that old. What else should I be seeing?

Not trying to hijack a classified, but it's not really a for sale so I feel it's okay. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Defever 53 POC

Here is the listing for the Stuart boat:

https://www.yachtworld.com/boats/198...dard%20listing

Here is a listing for the another DeFever 53, also a 1988 model (under contract):

https://www.yachtworld.com/boats/198...dard%20listing

Youíll see major differences in the overall condition of the boat...exterior, interior, engine room, etc.

The pics are supposed to draw you in. IMO, if the pics arenít pleasing, expect it to be worse in person.

It never ceases to amaze me how poor some photos of boats for sale are. Also how people do not declutter the boat when it is for sale to make it look more appealing.
