That's something I don't have.

Check on Craig's List and keep checking.

For your information they are VERY popular in BC.

I think you should first ask the TF members if this is the best anchor to choose. Hope you have time for a LOT of replies LOL!!! Welcome aboard!

Greetings. The question dealt with an anchor which I assumed was made taking into account the need and necessary due diligence related to that need. Choosing an anchor has the same tests one might use in choosing a wife.

Bomba,
He seems to want a Northill. Why should we doubt his judgement?

And I forgot I do have a Northill. It's small but w forged shank and flukes. Many of the Northills you'll find in BC are home made. And some are ultra lightweight (sheet metal) for aircraft and not suitable for boats.

You don't see many using the Northill anchors, they look a little cumberson to store. That being said I do have two of them, one is a 50R which is quite large and the other is small enough to be a nice lunch anchor. I had planned to use the big one as a storm anchor which thankfully never happened. Although I'd hate to pay shipping for them they are available. If you are interested let me know.Larry

Nice. All well intentioned, but he clearly wasn't seeking advice. Ever seen the UTube "it's not about the nail"?

Thanks the for the reply. 50R must be huge. 20R, in Northill sizing, is what i'm in the market for, but am flexible. Vessel is a relatively light 40ft lobster boat.
