Maybe you could tell us more about yourself. Hard to know what would fit unless we know what you know, what you've done and what you want to do with the boat.

Welcome to the forum. There are thousands of trawlers out there for under 60K but you need to know some specifics of what you want and how you will use it before looking. Lots of info on this forum to help you. Good luck

Hi, I am looking for one that is less then 50’ feet and planning to get a wet slip in Ventura county area. I want to use it as a vacation home that is local to me so that I can take it out to the Catalina islands, fish from and would like it to have short term live aboard capabilities. I have been looking at the defever style lately and I like the layout. Open to cosmetic work but prefer engine and other mechanical components to be in decent working conditions. I have a friend that will partner up with me that is more familiar with trawlers who is going to help me out. I hope this helps as I have been keeping an eye on ads and postings for a long time now and recognize that trawlers in my price range are hard to come by.

Seems that $1k per lineal foot can get a pretty nice "older" boat under 25' . From there to 40' 1.5 k per ft comes into play for the oldies. After 40 ' the lineal foot price can swing wildly upward, no matter the age.

Pay close attention to previous years' maintenance records... if available.

Good luck. Glad you came aboard!

All Ventura and <60K. Good luck with your search. I'm in the same market.
