I would like to look at the 36. I am thinking of buying a 30. Looked at one in the keys way to much money for the shape it was in. would not pass mustard or inspection. I live in Daytona beach
Thanks
Charles

Where in Florida? And price does make a difference. Have you set one, yet?

Yes, I have now set a firm price but have not given to a broker yet. See ad in Ft. Myers Craigslist and send me your email address if you require more information: pictures, formal listing, equipment list and so on.

Can you provide any info on the engine. Can't seem to find much on line about Continental. Parts availability, etc?
Thanks.

Hi Paul,
It is my understanding that Willard offered the Continental 277 b/4 it went to Perkins. Continental is now only in the aircraft engine business and no longer supports these diesels. However, since Massey Ferguson also used these engines in their model 80 and model 85 tractors for decades, parts seem to be easily available from tractor parts suppliers. When I needed a gasket set, and again when a freshwater pump was needed, they were quickly obtained from online from tractor parts suppliers. They also may have been available from a Massey dealer but I had none near me. The boat came with a shop manual from Continental and also a Massey shop manual.
The engine uses counter rotating balance shafts (Lanchester system) and energy cell combustion to produce smooth quiet power.

Thanks so much for the info. I had seen something on google about tractors, but being unfamiliar with these engines, had no idea of what I was look for or at. Hoping to have a sale of my Pearson very soon, and have always like the Willards. Is the boat in Ft. Myers at this point? I'm about 2hrs from there, so would love to stop by and take a peek.

Paul,
I.m not sure how we left this, was I to have made arrangements for you to look at the boat where it's stored. Did we email directly?
John

Hi John,
yes, we emailed directly and no, no need at this time for me to come down to LaBelle. Until my boat has a definite commitment to sell from the person I've been in contact with, I'll only be researching. I'll keep in touch. However, if you do get some photos of the engine room, I would appreciate seeing them.

Sorry it's sold. I can't figure out how to remove my "for sale" post.
