After 12 years of delightful cruising and sailing on Puget Sound, Martha and I have decided that we need to retire from an activity which has been fun, adventurous, and beautiful, but has become strenuous at our age. Our Nimble Wanderer, named Barquinho (after the lovely song recorded by Karrin Allyson), is on the hard in Port Townsend, WA, with a homemade "For Sale By Owner" sign on the bow.
The boat is a paragon of versatility. As other Nimble owners know, she can be rigged as a motorsailer or as a trawler, since the mast can easily be removed and stowed in the garage or elsewhere. She also fits on a trailer (not included), where she works almost like an Airstream with an open veranda and a view!
She's in great shape, with new bottom paint, bimini, halyards, and sheets. Plus she has a new ginpole to help get the mast up and down, something we wish we had had when we bought her in Maryland in 2007.
We're asking $36,000, not a bad price for so much potential. More details and pictures can be found at our website, www.barquinho.net
