Nordic Tug 26 for sale

After ten years we are getting a new boat and selling Kraken for $69,950. She's a 1982 Nordic Tugs 26 with a 1989 135 hp Cummins turbo diesel. She does 15 kts wot and when cruising at around 8 gets 1.3 gph fuel usage. Inside and out is beautiful teak, propane oven/stove/ freezer/fridge, marine head, windless and a galvanized trailer. This is a very nice trailer trawler package that we pull with a 3/4 ton p/u. 503 246 8002 - John

I'd buy it just for the name alone!

No connection, but for seeing the ad on Craigslist a few weeks ago. It's apparently based near Portland, OR.

Guessing from the ad text where the seller says he is nervous someone will buy it before they take a trip north on the 4th of July, maybe they are out on that trip now?

TractorJohn please don't post if you don't intend to respond

TractorJohn: Assuming you have not run into any health issues that prevents your response I think you need to stop posting. You joined in early June, have made only 3 posts and it seems you drop off. Again if there is any unusual circumstance that prevents you from responding then I hope you will feel better. But if not it is a waste of everyone's time and disrespectful to those who are trying to be helpful.

Moderator, isn't there a rule about posting boats for sale when you're a newbie(need to be a member in good standing)? Other forums don't allow this as it discourages scammers.

Perhaps he sold the boat and no longer needs to look at this forum.

The Craiglist ad was still up when I posted the link (but then some of those get left up after the fact). Also his phone number is in the first post (although I agree it's polite to either monitor the forum or say "sold").

His information says he is in Portland, so he may be hiding from the looters, I mean protestors

Sorry my mistakes

I am new to forums and online and have not been able to properly respond, I also have not been able to delete the posting, sorry again. I am currently in Washington San Juan's using a borrowed phone for spotty internet.

Simple, clear communication is all the skill you need on a forum. You mention not being able to delete the post. Does this mean the boat is no longer for sale?

Or, perhaps the "secret police" force!

my mistakes

I thought interested parties would send e-mail or private messages. So far I don't believe I have received any but then I am easily confused and I am subject to terrible wifi limitations on the water. As such I will not be able to comply with the forums timely monitoring rules and members should consider Kraken not available, sorry.

Okay, you have wifi that sucks and maybe can't get back to folks immediately. This is understandable.

This is a separate issue from your boat being available.

I hope you have pm'd the two folks who have shown interest in your boat.
