Are you ordering one?
There is one unsold 40 in Anacortes at the moment.
When we were there in April, the factory had laid off workers. Maybe things have picked up again.
We did drive through the facility and it was fun to identify the various molds and fixtures used to build the various boats...
Nice facility too!

Looked good till I saw VOLVO powered. As a VOLVO owner for 17 years, I say never again.

Boy, I second that remark. Terrible, awful disgusting customer service. Cost me thousands in court costs and weeks of my valuable time. Never get anything with a Volvo engine.

I don't know why they dropped Cummins. If I had one built it would have the new Cummins.

I have a 2015 NT26 181 with Yanmar running great. 182 was fitted with Volvo engine that blew up in trials and the whole engine had to be replaced.

I was at the NT Rendezvous last week in Anacortes. The factory has no orders and they are building for Oceans Sports now. The new 40' still sits unsold with a sticker price of over $650K and a Volvo engine. Many of us asked "Why Volvo?" and the factory reps said because Volvo could supply an engine for each hull in their lineup. I fear the 40' will prove to be a failure and the company will dry up. Too bad; they've made some excellent boats but their lunch is being eaten by Ranger at the low end and a very good used market at the high end.

Not to debate the merits or demerits of Volvo at all, but selling largely to a US market, the perceptions are very negative and a horrible move from a marketing standpoint. If it was in a European market, would be very different.

I will be sad if NT goes under. I like to see PNW builders succeed. Tough market though with lots of competition.
