Camano 31

I am looking for a nicely outfitted Camano. I would like to deal directly with the owner. I have seached the brokers and have discovered that one broker had never even seen the boat, one had advertised it as a 2 year later model and some just say they are busy. I live in Florida. Thanks any leads or suggestions are appreciated.

Contact the people at Helmsman Trawler, Seattle. Scott Helker. They can give you all the information needed for the Camino 31.

Camano

I should have been more specific. I am looking for a used Camano 31 for use on the ICW in Florida, must have AC and a generator. If anyone hears of one for sale 2001-2006 send them my way.

Understand, Helmsman is now the builder of the Camino. They could possibly guide you to the boat / owner of a Camino for sale. As I understand, it's a great boat. Good luck.

You will limit yourself to a fraction of the Camanos for sale and may not save any money if you only look at owner represented boats.

I agree that brokers, particularly Florida brokers are a PITA to deal with, but probably no worse than owners in representing the boat accurately.

I have bought two boats myselsf through Florida brokers and sold one as a Maryland broker myself working with a Florida broker and I must say two out of the three experiences were bad. There is something about the culture there that makes brokers arrogant, untruthful, etc.

But have patience, keep your eyes open and don't believe it unless you see it when dealing with Florida brokers. But they do represent a lot of boats.

Don't let the price scare you until you check on the exchange on the US vs. Canadian dollar.

Yes...There are plenty on Yachtworld..A good broker can help you hit the $$ you have in mind (unless totally unreasonable)
