There is no protection for Friends and Family transactions, so never ever use it to buy something.
    • Declines to allow viewing the item before proceeding with the transaction.

80' NAVY YP. Probably 654 Class, but we think its one later. If you google this you will find more information than can be posted here. Will make a great passage maker ("great loop") boat, club dive boat, training or work boat. Currently in Tarpon Springs, FL. Would be great in the islands, CUBA bound or anything else you can dream of.
We have over 1 gb of photos of all the work since we purchased the boat. Everything we did is photo documented in the slideshow and PDFs links below.

We bought the boat to become "loopers". Sadly we can not retire this way. ex YP668 exCT2

Very interesting boat. I tried to look at some of the photos, but the process is extremely clumsy to use. Get the photos into a better format and you will get more interest.

Also, type up a good description including technical details.

There is a narrow window of time to edit posts, so just change the price as you did in an update.
 
There's a Navy YP boat in Seabrook that's been converted to a liveaboard.

I'm going to have to scrap her if someone does not step up.

We have dropped the price for the last time to $25500. I can not work on her in the water and she is worth more than this in parts. I am left no choice. Here is hoping someone can get the word out to someone who can use her without cutting her up.

Qualified as a Craftmaster on the YPs when I was an instructor at the USNA back in the '90s. Would take the Mids out for shiphandling/navigation training during the school year and trips up north over the summer. Annapolis - C&D - Delaware Bay - NYC - Cape Cod Canal - Boston - Portsmouth NH ... never made it up to Halifax because of weather (which bummed the Mids out since they could drink up there).

The YPs were great boats, fantastic training tools.
 
If the original engines are still there, twin Detroit 12v71s, it burns about 15 - 20 gallons an hour at 12 knots. A big wood boat takes a lot of work.


Just saw the pics. Detroit Dual 671s not 12v. Too bad the copper doesn't cover the whole hull.

So did any of the mids end up on the Fitzgerald or McCain? Maybe they should have practiced with something bigger.

None of the ones I worked with would be in the age group of the wardrooms of either of those ships. The YPs used simple Range & Bearings (both visual and radar) and MoBoards to create the surface awareness picture and collision avoidance.
