Ice Breaker
Newbie
This listing is not as detailed as many, but will post pics. Please ask questions if interested and I will do my best to answer. Thanks!
The Ice Breaker was built in Ontario, Canada in 1967. It's lapstrake steel construction was by a company called "Nassau" and I have only come across one other (much larger) built by this boat maker.
For a smaller cruiser, this boat is built to withstand the elements. The boat has never seen salt as it has lived on the Great Lakes.
Beam- 8'
Draft- 18-20"
The entire boat was professionally stripped, blasted, powder coated (zinc oxide) and painted in 2009.
The Breaker is powered by a Perkins Marine Diesel (4.236M 85 BHP)
The Perkins was also professionally rebuilt (top/bottom) and has very low hours.
It cruises between 7-9 knots at low rpm and is extremely fuel efficient.
The Breaker has a single Dana Commercial Outdrive.
2 x Fuel tanks were blasted and coated (in/out).
Forward cabin sleeps two, ample dry storage.
All structural and mechanical parts of the boat are very solid- Lots $$
Garmin, Fish Finder, Radio all included. All kinds of original records, manuals and receipts- even the original engineering blue prints for the outdrive.
Canvas top is decent (no rips), but was a donor and could be removed/replaced.
I had planned to rebuild the deck and give a coat of fresh paint.
Newer Aluminum Tri-Axle Shorlander Trailer with ebrake
This was a long term retirement plan, but circumstances have unfortunately changed. Great for fishing, economical long range cruising or whatever your pleasure!
Located on Lake Huron near Grand Bend, Ontario.
Boat + Trailer- $21 000 cdn or $16 000 usd
Would consider selling boat separately...thanks for having a peak!
