1978 Marine Trading 44'

She is an excellent value; spacious, reliable, economical, and fully outfitted for cruising. For the past five years she has been professionally operated and maintained as a commercial vessel by her USCG licensed captain/owner. She is in great shape with many new upgrades/additions. Her old teak decks have been removed and new fiberglass decks professionally laid. Her twin FL 120 diesels and Kohler genset have low hours, run like new and have meticulous maintenance records. Email: larryklaas@reagan.com to receive full specifications and photos. Located Gulf Shores, Alabama. For sale by owner at $89,500.

Are Marine Trading and Marine Trader the same company?

In essence, yes. "Marine Trader" is listed on my certificate of build as the name of the vessel. "Marine Trading International" is listed as the builder. In common parlance the terms are often used interchangeably. Not sure if that is strictly correct, but it is my understanding.

What kind of mileage figures do you get with the smaller FL 120 engines? I'm looking at one near me with the FL 275's in it and I'm wanting a very economical boat.

Thanks!

Hi Fishing Fool. I get right at 2.5nm/gallon cruising at 7.5kn SOG. By reducing my SOG to 7 knots I get 3nm/gallon.

Hi Russell. Holly Day is back in the Panhandle. Selling because it's just the time in my life to move on. Will miss the old girl...great boat, great memories! Regards to Frani. Thanks for your message.

Forgot to mention in my original posting that further details on the boat, as well as our winter cruise to the Florida Keys can be found at www.facebook.com/hollydaycharters. Again, a full specifications sheet with pictures will be sent on request to those who contact me at larryklaas@Reagan.com.
