Onan 7.5 MDJE

The opportunity came up for a new generator so after much hesitation, I decided to say yes. That leaves the following opportunity...

7. 5 MDJE running take-out. upgraded electric raw water pump, new injectors, new preheat, regular maintenance, extra shiv on the crank for a pump. I also have a extra fresh water pump, fuel pump, filters, spare parts, owners manuals and sound shield. There will possibly be a fiberglass water lift muffler as well. Available in about 2 weeks after removal. Unit is in La Conner/Seattle area and will be palletized.

All yours for $1650.

Please pm me or ask questions

Did you change this over to an electric water pump? I heard this was a good mod. What water pump did you use? I see other modifications as well. What else did you do to it?

Can't remember of hand what pump brand it is. I have used it for at least 6 years. Glad I did. I bought another one as a spare for $120. No issues with the water flow. This forum has a couple guys that have done the same and they helped me immensely. The other mod is a engine driven watermaker pump of the crank. There is a electric clutch to activate that pump. Have had that for 15 years. It's a great way to go to make water.

Is it out yet? I am in LaConner, North basin, with the identical model, which is becoming increasingly unreliable. Mine is also extremely loud. I am tempted to listen to yours and see if it runs quieter, which would be worth the purchase price by itself. Let me know if you are going to be around this week. Thanks, Andrew
