Last summer my 15 year old Nova Kool R4502 refrigerator seemed not to be cooling consistently. I wanted to fix or replace it and because Nova Kool (in British Columbia) was about 5 to 6 months out in its ability to deliver new units, I ordered a new one in case I could not figure out what was wrong with the old one. It turned out that the old one needed a simple fix--a new door gasket and for good measure, a new thermostat. The Nova Kool people were very helpful in helping me diagnose the problem.
I left the order for a new refrig in place and now it is being shipped to me. I'm OK keeping it as a backup, but I'm also willing to sell it at my cost because I know that when this important piece of galley equipment isn't working, it can put a real damper on cruising. And no dealers in the country seem to have any in stock.
So here it is: a brand new, in factory packaging, R4502 4.3 cu.ft. ac/dc refrigerator. My cost is $1,900, and this is what Ill sell it for. I'm near Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. This is standard factory equipment in many mid-sized trawlers, especially those made in the Pacific Northwest (Nordic Tugs, Camanos, etc. This will slot right into existing cabinetry.
