FOUND Running Lehman 120 Diesel for $850

Doesn't look like a scam and I have affiliation with the seller.. Just seems like it could help someone out. Even has the V-drive transmission too.

Claims it looks rough(looks better than my perkins) but runs good. If I had the space i'd pick it up just because.

It looks like a great deal but I’d remove the rocker arm cover and an injector or two and look inside. But heck, with the running gear included? For $500 cash?

Worth buying for parts if you have the storage space. I`d have it, "like a rat up a rhododendron",were it local to me.

TF member Jonhboat1 lives in that area and was converting a diesel boat to outboards. Wonder if this came off that boat.

The fuel injection pump alone is worth $3,000 if it works and about $1,000 if it is trashed.

I have a spare injection pump if anyone needs one. It came with the boat purchase. It was in a box marked rebuilt but I cannot determine whether it was the box from a rebuilt that was used to store a pump that was replaced. Short of having it taken apart there is no way of knowing whether I have a rebuilt pump sitting ready just in case.

You could take it to an injection shop and have them test it. Then you'll know.

Such a simple but terrific suggestion. I will do so and report back but it may be a few months.

Im not seeing a heat exchanger. Open cooling system? What would the inside of one of those motors look like after nearly 40 years of saltwater cooling?
