I'm looking at buying HPR fuel which is currently only available in onroad versions. As such it has the road taxes still included.
Has anyone had any experience applying for the fuel tax refund from the state of California? Do you know if it has limitations to who is eligible? I found the form to do it but it's written in taxese.
If I can get it without jumping through too many hoops I'll probably at least try. This isn't to avoid the higher cost of marine diesel either, it's to get an alternative diesel thats cleaner, cheaper, and doesn't stink (also installing poly tanks shortly and don't want the fuel smell which the manufacturer claims may seep through the tank walls).
