Buyers broker recommendations?

OK I’ve read enough to determine that I need/want a buyer’s broker.

I am looking to purchase a 50-60’ foot boat this coming fall.

I live in the St Augustine FL area and see that there are several of the type of boat that I’m interested in down in the Fort Lauderdale area.

I am looking mostly at the Offshore Yachts boats.

So I am looking for recommendations of buyers brokers that could assist that in that purchase.

If you don’t have a recommendation for a particular broker how about a recommendation on how to find a good reliable trustworthy buyers broker?

If you don’t want to post them here then a PM would also be welcome.

Thanks in advance,
Gene

I'm Using Curtis Stokes right now....sweating on an offer made, hopefully boat owner within the month. We went with them after hearing only good things from others. We're very pleased so far

I have not bought from Curtis Stokes but have dealt with them in looking at a couple of boats and was impressed with their professionalism.

I just closed on a 42 Silverton in Panama City using mike Mascari from over in fort Myers. Couldn’t ask for a better broker and he routinely travels the state of Florida and beyond brokering boats. He can be reached at 239-980-2202. I’m Ed butler. He should recognize my name.

Edited to add: I actually found him recommended elsewhere on this forum. Turns out we have mutual friends.

When you say "Curtis Stokes" are you talking about the company or the person?

Also had a recommendation of "Jeff Merrill". He is in CA and yes I understand he works around the country, but his company JMYS has people in FL. Anyone have a recommendation of some one in particular from JMYS?

Thanks for the replies,
Gene

I spoke directly with Curtis Stokes the owner when I set up for a buyer broker, and now work through Dave Raftery one of his brokers in the Fort Myer's area. I am now working through trying to purchase a Hatteras, I'm sure if that falls through, I'll have further contacts through the company. Hope that's helpful.
