Boat House Insurance

I was just notified by my carrier that they will no longer insure boathouses. Does anyone have a recommendation of who to contact that does this type of coverage?

Is your boat house part of your home property, ie like an out building? Or is it a stand alone structure. If the former I suspect it is covered by your home owners insurance. If it is stand alone, then yes you would have to insure it with your boat or a separate building policy which probably will be expensive or even unavailable.

Where we used to live we had a community dock nearby and we couldn't get property loss insurance for the dock from anyone.
