Hello trawlers,

I'm looking for a Volvo Penta diesel injector pump manual.
I've attached a picture as its possible might be outdated but I'm sure there are salvage yards with such items, I need to know if its possible to get such items now.

It's a source of issue for diesel boats.
Regards,
Ojaxz73.

Greetings,
Mr. O. Volvo has the reputation in North America of poor support for parts and service unlike Volvo in Europe where parts availability appears to be much less of a problem. Perhaps one of our Scandinavian members could point you in the best direction for sourcing older parts and/or manuals.

Call Dick Vosbury at Vosbury Marine in Annapolis. He will help you out.

Looks like a Bosch VE pump. Same ones as on the early Dodge/Cummins trucks 1989 thru 1993, school busses of that era, etc.
I used to have a manual, I will look and advise if I still have it on file.

Volvo penta model 42 diesel engines

May be kad 42 3,6l 6 cylider in line

I think this is volvo penta tamd 41 injektion pums? not KAD 42

The part number would help to identify the pump.

My information is that the pump requires specialized tools and training to service and has some very close tolerances. I doubt the manual will be much help unless the OP is already a Volvo injection pump specialist.

Even though it's painted Volvo green, it's probably a Bosch pump with a Volvo part number.

Bosch VE pump. Used everywhere. If no internal parts are broken, you can send it to an injection shop to get repaired/resealed/bench tested.

Actually you can find a complete repair procedure if you search you tube for Volkswagen injection pump repair. Same Bosch VE pump but 4 cylinder.
