twin disc MG 507-1 reverse problem

Hello i have 2 cat 3208ta with twin disc MG507-1.

they are from 1990 like new out the box and have just 3000h running
they have been not uses for a couple of years, it seems the oil has been renieuwd.

the port works fine the starboard has some issieus
first he switch in with a delay of 2 sec, oil pressure seems ok on the meter
now forward work direct but reverse dus not get on

i had a cat man looking and hey sead it could be dirt or some damage on the selector valve

I found the service manual and got fig 15-2 with a part diagram from the gear selector (see below)

is see on the diagram under the shift leaver a spring nr.3 and washer nr.5
these are missing. could that be the troubel ?

if i remove the cover plate nr.8 can i pull out the valve shaft for inspection and can i put it back in without special tools ?

I hate to be a pain but can you reload both but actually use a PDF file.
I wanted to print them so I can study them side by side.
What you have won't allow me to enlarge, copy or print and I have learned to hate using two screens because you can't mark them up as needed when doing anything like this.

Even a photograph , a good one, can be dealt with.

on page 18 the hydraylic system is explaind and om page 27 is the explosion view of the front parts and on page 71 onwards is the working of the selection valve explaind
