I am going to switch to Stanadyne diesel additive and see lubricity and performance formulations. I also see where they can be mixed. Any comments?

Been using Stanadyne Performance Formula in my Cummins ISB truck since 1999. Less smoky starts, and runs smoother and less noisy. Have no way to measure other benefits. Been using in boat's VP 44 diesel, 6500 hours since 1999, and the current boat's Cummins, 4300 hours since 2016. No noticeable fuel, injection, or smokiness problems with any of these engines.

I buy in cases of six half-gallons, for a little less than $200. Adds a very small percentage to fuel costs.

I saw one reference to shelf life of 6 months if stored properly; so, I thought I would not want to buy more than 6 mos worth.
