I finally got a reman Onan MDJE installed, wiring and running after chasing down what seemed like an endless number of gremlins. Then just as I was celebrating having heat underway the engine shut down. Turned out the high-temp shutdown switch had gone bad. Big problem as my local Onan dealer was told that it is "obsolete" and not stocked" by headquarters. Does anyone know of availability or a workaround? I am desperate.

It's a snap disc normally closed with a setting around 200F. Pretty generic industrial item. I've found them before on line but it is a PITA.

Also make sure you have coolant bled of all air, the circ pump can trap air and not pump. Has a bleed cock on it, and also on water manifold.
