Rebuild hynautic controls or go with electronic engine controls

I have an old trawler 60’ with the teleflex hynautic engine and drive controls, the yard is suggesting glendinning electronic controls and not do not waste the money rebuilding the hynautic, I have old Detroit 8v92s , so I need to go with the cable type actuators , I have an opportunity to get some NOS seastar KE-4 for pretty good deal , not sure what to do ,any suggestions and advice would be really appreciated .....

I think Glendinning controls are awesome. Top quality, sleek and comparatively unobtrusive in my opinion. I replaced my Pannish old style controls with them (including actuators for the transmissions, but not for the engines), and have been very pleased with the results. Hamish.
