5/28/21 Need recommendation for smallest AC that will run off solar, ac and dc? Need to cool small cabin.

I hope you have lots of amp hours in your batteries and lots of watts in your solar panels to recharge them the next day.

The 7,000 btu/hr Carry On hatch mounted portable A/C is one possibility, but there are others including some low btu DC models. This unit draws about 7 amps at 110 volts, or about 70 amps from your batteries into an inverter. You will need 500+ amp hours of lithium batteries to make it through the night on one of those.

I have a couple roll around portable AC units I can run off my inverter. But it's big and I have a 48v bank.
