Slowly my boat will be finished refit. The new Merc 6.2 L 350 hp stern drive motor and B2 leg have been installed, the motor tested but items still have to be hooked up.

I notice a setting on the throttle I've never seen or used before called "dock." Somehow it gives a better response at lower speeds and RPM's for obvious "docking" purposes.

Here's a link to the throttle, you can clearly see the dock button:

Has anyone had experience with the dock setting with a Merc throttle, is it hype or does it work?

Have not used one but it is supposed to reduce RPMs by 50% throughout the range to give more precise control. Probably so you can move the throttle lever more without a big jump in RPMs.

Now I want to go out on the boat even more as I live through this painfully slow refit.
