I have the Yanmar 4LHA-STP engine and I was changing the transmission cooler zinc yesterday. Of course the PO probably never changed them so the cap came out but the rest of the anode stayed behind. I pulled off the hose and I was able to get some of the debris out, but I feel I need to do a better job by removing the end cap. I couldn't figure out how it comes off so maybe someone here can help.

In the photo the anode cap is to the right in the foreground and at about 45 degrees to horizontal below it there's another bolt, I assume a drain but maybe something else? The hose I removed is in the foreground, left.

Does anybody know if/how the end cap can be removed?
