I'm installing a bow thruster on my GB36, already have the glassfiber tube with 185mm diameter. My boat has a 24V system, the required / recommended power / thrust is remaining question. The equipment suppliers recommendations vary between 80 kgf to 115kgf (?), i would highly appreciate user experiences from boaters in this forum;
How effective Thrusters you have in boats of the same size, 36 ft, and have you experienced lack of power - in what kind of situations.
I am turning to the 115 kgf but would like to have a better insight for this, e.g. the amperage on 115 compared to 80kgf is notably higher - this affects to the installation.
